CSSM BTEC Level 5 Diploma Course

Terms and Conditions


Applicants must be 21 years or over (18 – 21 years old may be accepted subject to an interview).

Applicants must have some basic qualification in massage, or attend a CSSM Introductory massage workshop before the Diploma course begins.

An application is not complete until the CSSM have confirmed that there place is available and the applicant has paid a deposit.

The CSSM has the right to refuse an application.


To reserve a place on a course a deposit must be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the course commencing.

Balance option 1

The balance of the full course fee is payable 7 days before the course starts. Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer.

Balance option 2

The balance can be paid by monthly standing orders from your bank*.

*Once accepted, the applicant will receive a standing order form which must be completed and returned to us before the course begins. There will be administration charge of £50.00 for this. The first payment will be debited from your account on the 1st of each month. This might mean that the initial payment will leave your account a few days after the course starts. For example if your course begins on 15th June the first payment will be on 1st July.

Once the course has begun you are liable for the full course fee, whether you complete the course or not. CSSM will take legal proceedings if necessary to recover the full fee if payments are stopped early.

Early cancellation

If you wish to cancel your place up to 6 weeks before the course begins, you must notify us is writing (or email) and your payments will be refunded less the £200 non refundable part of the deposit.

If you wish to cancel between 6 and 2 weeks before the course begins you must notify us in writing (or email) and your payments will be refunded less the £200 non refundable part of the deposit plus £50 admin fee.


The full deposit is non refundable if you cancel less than 2 weeks before the course begins.

Application changes

If, due to extenuating circumstances you need to defer to a later course you may be able to do so providing notice is given at least 6 weeks before your course begins. This may depend on there being a place available on a future course.

If it is less than 6 weeks prior to the start of your course a transfer fee of £100 will be applied, providing there is a place available on that course.

You cannot change your course less than 2 weeks before it starts.

Once you have started your course

A 100% attendance record is required for the completion of the course.

If you miss any classes you will have to arrange a ‘catch up’. We may be able to slot you in on to another diploma course for the day/days that you have missed. If this is not possible you will have to arrange private tuition with one of the tutors.

A fee of £30 per hour will be payable directly to the tutor.
